Ibanez built the EKM10 as part of its EKM Signature Series, positioning it as a hollow body electric guitar within the broader Artstar-influenced family. The Wine Red (TWRD) finish variant carried the full hollow body construction with a Flamed Maple top, back, and sides.
The neck is a three-piece Nyatoh and Maple set-in construction with a 628 mm (24.7") scale length, a bone nut at 43 mm width, and a bound ebony fretboard dressed with acrylic and abalone block inlays across 22 medium frets with Artstar fret edge treatment. The fretboard radius is 305 mm. Neck thickness measures 21 mm at the first fret and 24 mm at the ninth. Electronics consist of two passive, Alnico-loaded Super 58 humbuckers at neck and bridge positions. The ART-2 Roller bridge and Bigsby B70 vibrato tailpiece handle tuning stability and vibrato duties, with a 10.4 mm string spacing at the bridge. All hardware is finished in gold. The guitar ships strung with a .010–.052 set in standard E-to-E tuning.
