Ibanez built the LGB30NT as part of its GB Signature Series, positioning it as a hollow body electric guitar within the Artstar-influenced upper tier of the signature line. The Natural finish variant carried the designation NT in its model number.
The instrument was constructed with a spruce top over flamed maple back and sides, paired with a three-piece Nyatoh and maple set-in neck. The bound ebony fretboard featured acrylic and abalone block inlays across 20 medium frets, with Artstar fret edge treatment applied to the ends. The bone nut measured 43mm in width. Scale length ran 628mm (24.7"), and fretboard radius was 305mm. Neck thickness measured 20mm at the first fret and 22mm at the ninth. The body width measured 15¾" with a maximum depth of 3⅝", and the neck length reached 19½". String spacing at the bridge was 10.5mm. Electronics consisted of two passive Alnico Super 58 humbuckers — one at the neck position, one at the bridge — feeding through gold hardware that also included the Gibraltar Artist bridge, LGB30 tailpiece, and bone nut. The guitar left the factory strung to standard tuning with a .011–.050 gauge set.
