Ibanez built the AF95FMAYS as part of the AF Artcore Expressionist series, positioning it in the hollow body electric segment of the Artcore Expressionist line. The model was finished in Antique Yellow Sunburst.
The guitar was constructed with a three-piece Nyatoh and Maple set-in neck, paired with a flamed Maple top, back, and sides. The bound Ebony fretboard featured acrylic block inlays and carried 20 medium frets over a 628mm (24.7") scale length, with a 305mm radius and a nut width of 43mm. Pickups were a matched pair of Super 58 humbuckers — passive, Alnico-loaded — at both the neck and bridge positions. The Gibraltar Performer bridge set string spacing at 10.5mm, and the VT06 tailpiece anchored the strings. All hardware was finished in gold. The guitar shipped from the factory in standard E-to-E tuning strung with a .010–.052 set.
Owners sourcing replacement parts — including bridge saddles compatible with the Gibraltar Performer, Super 58 pickup covers, or VT06 tailpiece hardware — should consult a qualified guitar technician or luthier familiar with hollow body instruments to confirm fit against the original specifications.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
