Ibanez built the RG652AHMFXNGB as part of the RG Prestige Series, positioning it toward players who required the high-output, fast-neck character of the RG platform with upgraded hardware and pickup appointments over the standard line.
The guitar is constructed around an Ash body and a five-piece Maple/Walnut Super Wizard HP neck, a thin profile designed for speed across its 648 mm / 25.5" scale. The bound Birdseye Maple fretboard carries black dot inlays and jumbo frets, with a 430 mm radius and a nut width of 43 mm narrowing to 58 mm at the 24th fret. Neck thickness measures 17 mm at the first fret and 19 mm at the twelfth. A Graph Tech nut feeds strings across a Gibraltar Standard II bridge set at 10.8 mm string spacing. Electronics consist of a DiMarzio Air Norton humbucker at the neck and a DiMarzio The Tone Zone humbucker at the bridge, both passive Alnico designs. All hardware is finished in Cosmo black.
Owners sourcing replacement parts — including Graph Tech nut blanks, Gibraltar Standard II bridge components, or DiMarzio pickup mounting hardware — should verify dimensions against the measurements above before ordering. A qualified guitar technician or luthier can assist with nut fitting, bridge intonation, and pickup height optimisation on this instrument.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
