Ibanez built the RG5320CSW as part of the RG Prestige Series, positioning it at the upper tier of the RG line where tighter tolerances, premium materials, and Japanese-market construction standards defined the specification. The Cosmic Shadow finish placed it among the visually distinctive entries in the Prestige catalogue.
The guitar was constructed around an African Mahogany body mated to a Super Wizard HP five-piece Maple/Wenge neck — a profile Ibanez engineered for low mass and fast access across all positions. The bound Macassar Ebony fretboard carried 24 jumbo stainless steel frets with Prestige fret edge treatment and off-set Mother of Pearl dot inlays, running a 430mmR radius over a 648mm (25.5") scale. Nut width measured 43mm, widening to 58mm at the 24th fret; neck thickness ran 17mm at the first fret and 19mm at the twelfth. A locking nut paired with the Lo-Pro Edge tremolo bridge, strung at 10.8mm spacing, completed the vibrato system. Electronics consisted of a DiMarzio Fusion Edge humbucker at the neck and a matching unit at the bridge, both passive ceramic designs. Hardware throughout was finished in Cosmo Black. The guitar shipped strung with D'Addario EXL120s (.009–.042) in standard tuning.
Owners sourcing replacement parts — Lo-Pro Edge components, DiMarzio Fusion Edge pickups, or stainless fret stock — should verify compatibility against the specific measurements above and consult a qualified guitar technician for installation and setup work.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
