Ibanez built the PS60SSL as part of its PS Signature Series line of electric guitars, finished in Silver Sparkle. The model carried the PS neck profile in maple, paired with a poplar body, and was positioned within a dedicated signature-oriented series.
The neck runs to 22 medium frets on a bound Purpleheart fretboard with white block inlays, at a 628mm (24.7") scale. The nut measures 43mm wide, tapering to 56mm at the 22nd fret, with a neck thickness of 20mm at the first fret and 22mm at the twelfth; the fretboard radius is 305mm. Hardware is finished in chrome throughout and includes a Gibraltar Performer bridge with 10.5mm string spacing, a Quik Change III tailpiece, and a pair of passive ceramic Infinity R humbuckers at neck and bridge positions. The guitar left the factory strung with a .010–.046 set in standard E tuning.
Owners seeking replacement parts — including compatible bridge saddles, tailpiece studs, or Purpleheart fretboard care products — or requiring setup adjustments should consult a qualified guitar technician or luthier familiar with Ibanez hardware specifications.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
