Description

Ibanez built the KIKO10BPTGB as part of the KIKO Signature Series, a line developed around the playing requirements of the series' namesake artist. The guitar sat toward the upper tier of the signature offering, distinguished by its five-piece Maple/Walnut neck reinforced with KTS Titanium rods, a Flamed Maple top over an Alder body, and a bound Panga Panga fretboard with a KIKO special inlay at the 12th fret.

The neck profile is designated KIKO10P, running a 648 mm/25.5" scale with 24 jumbo frets and Premium fret edge treatment. Nut width measures 42 mm, widening to 57 mm at the 24th fret; neck thickness runs 20 mm at the first fret and 22.3 mm at the 12th, with a 400 mm radius fretboard. The Edge-Zero II tremolo bridge operates at 10.8 mm string spacing. A three-pickup configuration — DiMarzio KIKO original humbuckers at the neck and bridge (both Passive/Ceramic) and a DiMarzio KIKO original single-coil in the middle position (Passive/Alnico) — was factory-fitted alongside black hardware. The instrument shipped strung with D'Addario EXL110s (.010–.046) in standard E tuning.

Owners requiring setup work, tremolo adjustment, or replacement parts sourcing should consult a qualified guitar technician familiar with the Edge-Zero II system and DiMarzio pickup specifications.

From the people who own them

Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.

Put yours on the record.

The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.

What do you know about this one?

Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
