Washburn positioned the WD7SCE within the Harvest Series as a dreadnought cutaway acoustic-electric, combining a solid Sitka spruce top with mahogany back and sides and onboard electronics for players who needed amplified performance from a full-bodied acoustic platform.
The top was braced with quarter-sawn scalloped Sitka spruce bracing. The satin mahogany neck featured a two-way truss rod and joined a rosewood fretboard carrying dot inlays across 20 frets at a 43 mm nut width. The rosette was a custom wood inlay. Electronics were handled by an EQ4T preamp system. The rosewood bridge and chrome diecast tuners completed the hardware complement. The guitar was strung from the factory with D'Addario EXP-16 light phosphor bronze strings.
