Washburn positioned the EA15ATB within its Festival Series as a plugged-in acoustic built around a mini jumbo cutaway body. The model combined a flame maple top with catalpa back and sides, braced internally with quarter-sawn scalloped Sitka spruce, and was fitted with an EQ4T preamp system to serve players who needed amplified performance from an acoustic platform.
The mahogany neck carried a two-way truss rod and a rosewood fretboard with dot inlays. Nut duties fell to a GraphTech Nubone unit at 43mm width, with a 25.5" scale running to a rosewood bridge. Tuning was handled by chrome diecast machines. An abalone rosette finished the top appointment. The instrument shipped strung with a D'Addario EXP-16 light phosphor bronze set. A deluxe mini jumbo case (GCMJDLX) was available separately.
