Washburn built the EA15ATB-A-U as part of its Festival Series, a line the company stated had been addressing the needs of performing musicians for over 25 years. The Festival Series gained wide visibility through its association with MTV's Unplugged series and went on to become one of the brand's most widely recognised acoustic-electric platforms. The EA15ATB-A-U is a cutaway mini jumbo six-string acoustic-electric finished in Tobacco Burst gloss.
The top is flame maple, with catalpa back and sides, and the bracing is quarter-sawn scalloped Sitka spruce. The mahogany neck carries a 2-way truss rod and is fitted with an engineered wood fretboard bearing 20 frets and dot inlays. The nut is a Graphtech NuBone unit at 1-11/16" width, with a 25-1/2" scale length. Electronics are handled by a Barcus-Berry EQ4T preamp system with volume, built-in tuner, bass, mid and treble controls, plus notch and presence. Hardware throughout is chrome, including diecast tuners, and the rosette is faux-abalone. The guitar shipped strung with a D'Addario EXP-16 light phosphor bronze set.
Owners sourcing replacement parts — including the Graphtech NuBone nut, Barcus-Berry EQ4T preamp components, or chrome diecast tuners — should consult the specifications above when cross-referencing compatible replacements. A qualified luthier or guitar technician can assist with setup, nut fitting, or electronics service.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
