- Washed Denim Burst Open Pore
Ibanez produced the PF18WDB as part of the PF Series, a line of dreadnought acoustic guitars positioned as accessible steel-string instruments. The WDB suffix designated the Washed Denim Burst Open Pore finish variant within that series.
The body was built with a spruce top over okoume back and sides. The maple neck carried a laurel fretboard and laurel bridge fitted with plastic nut and saddle, with 20 frets and white dot inlays. A black and white multi-layer soundhole rosette and Ibanez Advantage bridge pins completed the body appointments. Tuning was handled by chrome open-gear machine heads. The guitar shipped strung with Ibanez IACS6C strings gauged .012/.016/.024/.032/.042/.053, set to standard E-to-E tuning. The scale measured 648mm, nut width 42mm, body length 20 inches, and maximum body depth 5 inches. Neck thickness measured 21mm at the first fret and 22.5mm at the seventh, with a 240mm radius fretboard and 11mm string spacing at the bridge.
Owners sourcing replacement parts — saddle, nut, bridge pins, tuning machines or strings — should verify dimensions against the specs listed here before purchasing, and consult a qualified luthier or guitar technician for setup and any structural work.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
