Ibanez built the AW54LOPN as part of the Artwood Series, positioning it as a dreadnought acoustic guitar finished in Open Pore Natural. The Artwood line was designed around the use of okoume tonewoods throughout the body, placing this model in the solid-top segment of the series. It was configured as a left-hand instrument, as indicated by the "LO" designation in the SKU.
The body features a solid okoume top with okoume back and sides. The neck is constructed from nyatoh under Ibanez's AW neck profile, capped with an ovangkol fretboard and matching ovangkol bridge. Fretboard inlays are white dot, and the soundhole rosette is a black-and-white multi-ring style. Hardware consists of chrome die-cast tuners. The nut and saddle are plastic, and bridge pins are Ibanez Advantage. The guitar ships strung with D'Addario XTAPB1253 strings (.012–.053) at standard tuning. The scale length is 651mm, nut width is 43mm, fretboard radius is 400mmR, and the neck measures 21mm thick at the first fret and 22mm at the seventh. String spacing at the bridge is 11mm across 20 frets.
Owners sourcing replacement parts — including nut blanks, saddle stock, bridge pins, or tuner hardware — should verify measurements against the dimensions above and consult a qualified luthier or guitar technician for fitting and setup work.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
