Ibanez built the AC340LOPN as part of the Artwood Series, positioning it as a left-handed acoustic guitar finished in Open Pore Natural. The grand concert body format placed it toward the smaller, more focused end of the acoustic line, suited to fingerstyle players and those who preferred a more intimate body size.
The guitar was constructed with a solid Okoume top paired with Okoume back and sides, and an AC/Nyatoh neck. The Ovangkol fretboard and Thermo Aged Ovangkol bridge carry white dot inlays and a black and ivory multi-ring soundhole rosette respectively. Hardware includes chrome die-cast tuners, bone nut, compensated bone saddle, and Ibanez Advantage bridge pins. The instrument shipped strung with D'Addario XTAPB1253 strings (.012–.053) at standard tuning. The neck measures 45mm at the nut, with a 400mmR fretboard radius and a 634mm scale length; neck thickness is 21mm at the first fret and 22mm at the seventh.
