Description

Washburn built the WCG10SENS-O-U as the acoustic-electric variant within the Comfort Series Grand Auditorium line, designated internally as the G10SE. The Comfort Series was designed around ergonomic playing solutions, and the G10SE carried that brief through the addition of a tapered Walnut armrest bevel along the lower bout edge of the satin-finished Grand Auditorium body.

The top is solid Sitka spruce braced with Cathedral Peaked Scalloped-X bracing, paired with mahogany back and sides. The neck is satin mahogany fitted with a two-way truss rod, a bone nut at 1-11/16" width, and 21 frets over a 25-5/16" scale. The bridge is Ovangkol. Electronics are handled by a Fishman Sonitone under-saddle transducer system, with volume and tone controls accessible at the soundhole. Hardware throughout is chrome, including diecast tuners. The rosette is a Washburn Parquet three-ring design. Strings were fitted from the factory as D'Addario EXP-16 light phosphor bronze. Note that earlier versions of this model without the "-O" suffix in the SKU used rosewood for the fingerboard, bridge, and binding in place of the Ovangkol and related materials on this variant.

Owners sourcing replacement parts — including saddle blanks, Fishman Sonitone-compatible components, or Ovangkol bridge pins — should consult a qualified luthier or guitar technician who can verify fit against the instrument's current specifications before installation.

The owner archive

From the people who own them

Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.

Put yours on the record.

The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.

What do you know about this one?

Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
