Washburn built the HD10SCEB-O-U as part of its Heritage Series, positioning it as a dreadnought cutaway acoustic-electric aimed at players who needed both full-bodied acoustic projection and practical upper-fret access. The cutaway body configuration and onboard electronics made it a working performance instrument within the Heritage line.
The top is solid Sitka spruce braced with Washburn's Cathedral Peaked Scalloped-X pattern, paired with mahogany back, sides, and neck fitted with a two-way truss rod. The fretboard and bridge are Ovangkol, with dot inlays across 20 frets and a Graphtech Nubone nut at 1-11/16" width. The scale runs 25-5/16". Electronics are handled by a Fishman Presys II 301T preamp with onboard tuner, offering volume, bass, mid, and treble controls alongside a phase switch for feedback management. Hardware throughout is chrome, including die-cast tuners. The instrument ships strung with D'Addario EXP light gauge phosphor bronze strings. The rosette is the Washburn Heritage design, and a tortoise pickguard is fitted to the top. Finish is gloss black.
Owners sourcing replacement parts — including the Ovangkol saddle, Graphtech Nubone nut blanks, or Fishman Presys II components — should consult a qualified guitar technician or luthier familiar with acoustic-electric instruments to ensure correct fit and setup.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
