Washburn positioned the BTSC56SCE-D-U as the flagship of its Bella Tono series, designating it the SC56S Allure. It sat at the top of the Bella Tono lineup, combining a cutaway Studio-shaped body with premium tonewoods and an extensive appointments package aimed at players who required both ornamental detail and amplified performance capability.
The soundboard is solid spruce, braced with quarter-sawn scalloped bracing. Back and sides are select acacia. An abalone rosette decorates the top, with abalone purfling running the body perimeter and maple binding at the edges. The ebony fingerboard carries a scenic inlay — a palm tree and birds in flight — rendered in abalone and turquoise across its 20 frets. The mahogany neck features a modern C profile with a satin finish and runs a 25-1/2" scale. The bridge is ebony, tuners are diecast gold, and the body incorporates a comfort arm rest along the treble bout. For amplified use, the guitar was fitted with a Barcus Berry LX4 preamp system. Strings were factory-fitted with D'Addario.
Owners requiring setup adjustments, inlay repairs, or help sourcing a compatible saddle or nut for the ebony bridge should consult a qualified luthier familiar with acoustic instruments of this specification.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
