Washburn built the HG120SWEK-D-U as part of its Heritage Series, positioning it as an all-solid, all-mahogany Grand Auditorium acoustic-electric aimed at players stepping up to solid-wood construction with fingerstyle and advanced picking demands in mind.
The body pairs a torrefied solid mahogany top with solid mahogany back and sides, braced with a Cathedral Peaked Scalloped-X pattern. The neck is satin mahogany with walnut rails and a 2-way truss rod, topped with an ebony fretboard at a 25-1/2" scale across 20 frets. Offset 3mm dot inlays mark positions throughout. The nut is bone at 1-3/4" width, and the bridge is also ebony. Hardware is chrome throughout, with Graphtech Ratio-tuned tuners fitted with black buttons. The 2-ring abalone/maple rosette, ivoroid body binding, Heritage faux-tortoise pickguard, and pearl headstock logo are shared details across the Heritage Series solid-wood line. Electronics are handled by a Fishman Presys+ Blend EQ preamp, which combines an undersaddle transducer and an internal microphone with controls for volume, bass, mid, treble, notch, mic blend, and phase, plus a built-in tuner. The guitar ships strung with D'Addario EXP-16 light phosphor bronze strings and includes a hard shell case.
Owners sourcing replacement parts — including saddle, nut blanks, tuner buttons, or compatible undersaddle transducers — should consult a qualified luthier or guitar technician, who can confirm correct dimensions and fit for this specific instrument.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
