Schecter positioned the PT Pro (item 864) as an elevated entry in its PT series — a bolt-on solidbody electric built around an alder body with a quilted maple top, finished here in Trans Blue Burst with ivory single-ply binding. The roasted maple neck and roasted maple fretboard placed it above the standard PT tier, with the flat-top body contour and string-through-body bridge anchoring its design in the traditional single-cutaway PT template.
The neck carries a Thin 'C' profile measuring .787" at the first fret and .866" at the twelfth, topped with a 14" radius roasted maple board wearing 22 X-Jumbo frets and dot inlays with glow-in-the-dark side markers. The 25.5" scale nut is a Graph Tech XL Black Tusq at 1.653" width. Both pickup positions carry Schecter USA Z-Plus™ humbuckers, routed through a Volume/Tone (Push-Pull)/3-Way Switch control layout with metal knurled knobs. The PT-H bridge with stainless steel saddles loads strings through the body, and Schecter locking tuners complete the hardware suite — all finished in black. Factory strings were Ernie Ball Regular Slinky .010–.046.
Owners sourcing replacement saddles, nuts, or tuners should verify dimensions against the PT-H bridge spec and the 42mm nut width before ordering; a qualified guitar technician can confirm fit and assist with truss rod adjustment using the specified 5/32" (4mm) Allen key.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
