Schecter positioned the Hellraiser Hybrid PT as part of its Hellraiser Hybrid series, built in South Korea as a set-neck solidbody with an arched quilted maple top over a mahogany body. The PT designation indicates the single-cutaway platform on which the model was based.
Construction is set-neck with Ultra Access, using a three-piece maple neck profiled to Schecter's Ultra Thin 'C' shape and measuring .748" at the first fret and .787" at the twelfth. The 25.5" scale ebony fretboard carries 24 X-Jumbo frets on a 12"-16" compound radius, with a Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut at 42mm width. Inlays are MOP offset/reverse dots with a Gothic Cross at the twelfth fret. Electronics are active, pairing an EMG 57 at the bridge with an EMG 66 at the neck, both in brushed black chrome covers, routed through a volume/tone/3-way switch layout with metal knurled knobs; a 9-volt clip-in battery compartment serves the active circuit. The Hipshot Hardtail bridge (.125) is strung through the body, finished in black chrome along with all other hardware. Carbon fiber multi-ply binding and Schecter locking tuners complete the specification.
