Schecter built the Nick Johnston USA Signature — catalogued under item number 7050 — as a flagship domestic production instrument bearing the signature of guitarist Nick Johnston. Finished in Atomic Green, it sat within Schecter's USA Custom Shop tier, distinguished from the broader Nick Johnston Traditional line by its country of origin and the tighter build tolerances associated with domestic manufacture.
The guitar was constructed on an alder body using a bolt-on joint secured by a four-bolt contoured neck plate. The neck itself was wenge, shaped to a Custom C profile with a vintage satin finish, measuring .825" at the first fret and .865" at the twelfth, and topped with a Macassar ebony fretboard at a 14" radius. Twenty-two Jescar Premium German Silver frets ran along the board, with silver ring inlays and silver side dot markers for reference. The nut was a Graphtech Black Tusq unit at 1.67" width, and the truss rod was adjustable via a spoke wheel. Schecter/Hipshot staggered locking tuners held string tension at the headstock, which carried a natural finish. The bridge was a Schecter Vintage 2-Point Tremolo in chrome hardware.
