Schecter built the Nick Johnston Traditional as a signature instrument for guitarist Nick Johnston, positioning it within the company's artist-driven Traditional series. The model was manufactured in Indonesia and configured as a right-handed, bolt-on construction electric guitar strung for standard six-string use.
The body is alder with a flat top contour. The roasted maple neck carries a Thin 'C' profile, measuring .787" (20mm) at the first fret and .866" (22mm) at the twelfth, and joins the body via bolt-on construction with heel-access truss rod adjustment through a 2-way adjustable spoke wheel. The ebony fretboard is fitted with 22 X-Jumbo frets over a 14" (355mm) radius and a 25.5" (648mm) scale length, with brass circle inlays throughout. Nut duties fall to a Graph Tech XL Black Tusq piece at 1.653" (42mm) width. The bridge is a Diamond Vintage Tremolo, finished in chrome alongside all other hardware. Three Schecter Diamond Nick Johnston single-coil pickups — neck, middle, and bridge — feed a Volume/Tone/5-Way Switch control layout with vintage-style knobs. Schecter locking tuners handle stability at the headstock, and the guitar shipped with Ernie Ball Regular Slinky strings (.010–.046).
Owners sourcing replacement parts should note that the 42mm nut width and 14" fretboard radius will inform compatible nut blanks and radius-matched fret wire; the Diamond Vintage Tremolo accepts saddles and blocks dimensioned for that platform.
