Schecter positioned the Solo II Custom (item 655) as a premium entry in its Solo II line, built around a set-neck mahogany body capped with a flamed maple arched top and finished in Gloss Natural. Construction followed the single-scale, fixed-bridge format associated with the Solo II series, with white multi-ply binding throughout and chrome hardware.
The three-piece mahogany neck carries an ebony fretboard with mother of pearl block inlays, a Thin 'C' profile measuring .787" at the first fret and .866" at the twelfth, and a 12"–16" compound radius across 22 X-Jumbo frets. The 24.75" (628mm) scale terminates at a 42mm Ernie Ball Compensated Nut. Anchoring the strings is a TonePros T3BT tune-o-matic bridge paired with a T1Z tailpiece — the T3BT accepts standard tune-o-matic saddles and posts. Schecter USA Pasadena Plus™ and Pasadena™ pickups occupy the bridge and neck positions respectively, routed through a Volume/Volume/Tone (push-pull)/3-Way Switch layout with Grip Tip Speed Knobs. Schecter Locking tuners handle the headstock end. The instrument shipped strung with Ernie Ball Regular Slinky .010–.046 and was built in South Korea.
