This is the bridge pickup from Schecter's Synyster Gates signature set, part number 6531. It is a passive humbucker built around a ceramic 8 magnet in a direct-coupled tri-field construction, with 12 high-carbon steel socket-set adjustable pole pieces. Output measures 17.6k ohms. The pickup ships with a 4-conductor harness, which gives you the option to wire coil splits. Each unit is hand wax-potted to suppress microphonic feedback under high gain.
Two things decide whether this pickup fits your guitar. First, string count: this is a six-string pickup and is not interchangeable with seven- or eight-string units. Second, pole spacing: this version is cut for 53mm tremolo spacing. That wider spacing is necessary on tremolo-equipped guitars because the string spread at the bridge is wider than at the neck. Put a neck-spaced pickup in a bridge route and the outer strings sit off the pole pieces. If your guitar has a fixed bridge or a non-tremolo tailpiece, measure your string spread before ordering — Schecter also makes this pickup in 49mm spacing for traditional bridges. Beyond spacing, confirm whether your body uses direct-mount or ring-mount for the bridge position, as each requires different mounting hardware.
The baseplate is custom-milled aircraft aluminum with an industrial black powder coat finish. The cover is black German silver with an etched Synyster Gates logo. The magnet is ceramic 8, direct-coupled in a tri-field arrangement — a construction that maintains note separation at the output level this pickup runs.
If you are not certain this is the right part for your guitar, send us the make, model, and year and we will confirm it fits before you order.
