Description

This is the Schecter 6530 Synyster Gates Signature Pickup Set — a passive humbucker pair built around Ceramic 8 magnets in a direct-coupled tri-field configuration. The bridge pickup measures 17.6k ohms output; the neck runs at 12.0k ohms. Both use a 4-conductor harness with a split-coil design, which gives you coil-split options if your control cavity is wired for it. The baseplates are custom-milled aircraft aluminum finished in industrial black powder coat. Pole pieces are 12 high-carbon steel socket-set adjustable units per pickup — you can dial in height to balance string-to-string output. The covers are black German silver with an etched logo. Each pickup is hand wax-potted.

Two things decide whether this set fits your guitar: pole spacing and string count. This set is a 6-string configuration only — it does not interchange with 7- or 8-string routes. For spacing: the bridge pickup in this set is 49mm traditional spacing, and the neck is 49mm universal spacing. Bridge routes on tremolo-equipped guitars often call for wider spacing than neck routes, and a neck-spaced pickup in a bridge position will leave your outer strings sitting off the pole pieces. Measure your existing pickup's pole spacing from the centre of the low-E pole piece to the centre of the high-E pole piece before ordering. Also check your body — direct-mount guitars and ring-mount guitars need different mounting hardware, and this set may not include both.

The Ceramic 8 magnet system runs high output without the muddy low-end compression that kills articulation on high-gain rigs. The split-coil design means a single coil option is available, but only if you have a push-pull pot or a switching circuit in the guitar already — the pickup supports it, the guitar has to be wired for it.

If you are not certain this is the right spacing or configuration for your guitar, send us the make, model and year and we will check it against what we know.
