A matched bridge-and-neck replacement pickup set voiced after Michael Anthony's original Schecter Monstertone configuration. The bridge pickup is a single-coil J-style; the neck is a split P-style in series. Each pickup uses a ceramic 8 magnet and sixteen nickel-plated carbon steel pole pieces at 0.25" diameter. Output measures 10.7k ohms at the bridge and 12.6k ohms at the neck. Wiring is 2-conductor Teflon-coated. The baseplate is custom-milled engraved brass. This is a passive set designed to run with a standard volume-tone configuration.
Two things decide whether this set fits your instrument: pole spacing and string count. The bridge pickup uses 57mm universal spacing; the neck uses traditional offset spacing. A bridge pickup with the wrong spacing will leave your outer strings sitting off the pole pieces — audible immediately, not fixable with adjustment. This is also a six-string set. If your bass has seven or eight strings, this will not fit. Check your existing routes and mounting hardware before ordering: direct-mount bodies and ring-mount bodies require different hardware, and that hardware is not interchangeable.
The brass baseplate is engraved and custom-milled, not stamped. The pole pieces are nickel-plated carbon steel. The failure mode on the originals was scarcity — these are reproductions built to the original vendor materials. The Teflon-coated wire harness resists heat if you are doing your own installation.
If you are not certain this set matches your bass, send us the make, model and year and we will confirm it fits before you buy.
