Schecter positioned the C-6 Plus as an accessible entry point in its C-series line, built around a bolt-on construction with a basswood body and a quilted maple image top finished in See-Thru Cherry Burst. The guitar was manufactured in Indonesia and was aimed at players seeking a higher-fret-count, extended-range-friendly platform at a practical tier of the range.
The maple neck carries a Thin 'C' profile, measuring .787" (20mm) at the first fret and .866" (22mm) at the twelfth, and is topped with a rosewood fretboard featuring 24 X-Jumbo frets, 4mm dot inlays, and a 14" (355mm) radius. The 25.5" (648mm) scale runs to a 1.653" (42mm) graphite nut. A two-way adjustable truss rod is accessed via a 5/32" (4mm) Allen key. The flat-top, bevel-edged body is strung through the body via a Tune-O-Matic bridge, with chrome hardware throughout including metal knurled knobs secured by set screws and Schecter-branded tuners. Both the bridge and neck positions carry Schecter Diamond Plus pickups, controlled by a volume, a tone, and a three-way toggle switch. The guitar shipped strung with .010–.046 gauge strings; the SGR-1C case was sold separately.
