Schecter positioned the C-6 Plus as an accessible entry point in its C-series line, built in Indonesia with a bolt-on maple neck and a basswood body finished in Charcoal Burst. The quilted maple image top provided an aesthetic nod to higher-tier carved-top instruments without the associated cost of a solid figured top.
The neck carries a Thin 'C' profile measuring .787" (20mm) at the first fret and .866" (22mm) at the twelfth, paired with a 14" (355mm) radius rosewood fretboard bearing 24 X-Jumbo frets and 4mm dot inlays. The 25.5" scale and 1.653" (42mm) graphite nut width are standard dimensions for this format. A two-way adjustable truss rod with a 5/32" Allen nut allows neck relief adjustment from either end. Hardware is chrome throughout: a Tune-O-Matic bridge with string-through-body anchoring, Schecter tuners, and metal knurled knobs with set screws. Both pickup positions carry Schecter Diamond Plus humbuckers, selected via a three-way toggle alongside individual volume and tone controls. The instrument shipped with .010–.046 strings. The SGR-1C case was sold separately.
