Schecter built the Nick Johnston Traditional LH as a left-handed variant of its Nick Johnston Traditional signature model, positioning it within the company's artist-driven traditional series. The instrument was constructed in Indonesia with a bolt-on neck joint and a flat-top alder body, paired with a roasted maple neck in a Thin 'C' profile.
The fretboard is ebony, dressed with brass circle inlays and 22 X-Jumbo frets over a 14" (355mm) radius. The 25.5" (648mm) scale runs to a Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut at 1.653" (42mm) width. Neck thickness is measured at .787" (20mm) at the first fret and .866" (22mm) at the twelfth. The two-way adjustable truss rod is accessed at the heel via a spoke wheel. Three Schecter Diamond Nick Johnston single-coil pickups are routed through a Volume/Tone/5-Way Switch control layout. The Diamond Vintage Tremolo bridge and chrome hardware complete the assembly, with Schecter Locking tuners at the headstock. The instrument shipped strung with Ernie Ball Regular Slinky .010–.046 strings.
