Schecter positioned the V-1 Apocalypse FR Red Reign at the high-output, extended-range end of its Apocalypse series. The instrument was built in South Korea with a set-neck construction featuring Ultra Access, pairing a swamp ash body with a maple and padauk multi-ply neck reinforced with carbon fiber rods. The Red Reign finish was offered in satin black hardware.
The neck carries an ebony fretboard with a 12"–16" compound radius and 24 X-jumbo stainless steel frets, shaped into a Thin 'C' profile measuring .787" at the first fret and .866" at the twelfth. Roman numeral inlays mark the positions, with glow-in-the-dark side dot markers. The 25.5" scale runs from a Floyd Rose 1500 Series nut — 1.625" wide — to a Floyd Rose 1500 Series bridge, with Grover Rotomatic 18:1 tuners managing string tension. Both pickup positions carry Schecter USA Apocalypse-VI™ humbuckers, routed through a volume, a push-pull tone control, and a 3-way switch. Hipshot O-Ring knobs and black 1-ply body binding complete the hardware complement. Ernie Ball Regular Slinky .010–.046 strings were fitted at the factory.
Owners requiring setup work, Floyd Rose adjustments, or fretwork on the stainless steel frets should consult a qualified guitar technician familiar with double-locking tremolo systems.
