Schecter positioned the C-1 Apocalypse within its high-specification C-series line as a hardtail instrument built around an active-style pickup platform. The Red Reign finish was one of the colour options offered for this model. Construction followed a set-neck approach with Ultra Access heel contouring, and the body was routed for string-through-body stringing on an arched-top Swamp Ash body with black single-ply binding.
The multi-ply Maple and Padauk neck incorporated carbon fibre reinforcement rods and carried an Ebony fretboard cut to a 25.5" (648mm) scale with a compound 12"–16" radius. Twenty-four X-Jumbo stainless steel frets were fitted, and the neck profile measured a Thin 'C' shape at .787" (20mm) at the first fret and .866" (22mm) at the twelfth. The 1.653" (42mm) Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut fed Schecter Locking tuners. A Hipshot Hardtail bridge (.125) anchored strings that passed through the body, and both the bridge and neck positions received Schecter USA Apocalypse-VI™ pickups. Controls comprised a push-pull volume pot, a tone pot, and a three-way toggle switch, with Hipshot O-Ring knobs throughout. Hardware was finished in Satin Black. Roman numeral inlays marked the fretboard positions, with glow-in-the-dark side dot markers. Factory strings were Ernie Ball Regular Slinky #2221 (.010–.046). The SGR-1C case was sold separately.
Owners requiring setup adjustments, fret work, or hardware sourcing for this model should consult a qualified guitar technician, as stainless steel fret work and compound-radius fretboard levelling call for specific tooling and experience.
