Description

Schecter positioned the CV-4 as a four-string bass in its Classic Vintage series, built on an ash body with a bolt-on maple neck reinforced by carbon fiber rods. The Indonesian-made instrument carried a 34-inch scale and was finished in Ivory with chrome hardware throughout.

The maple fretboard runs a 10-inch radius and carries 22 narrow extra-jumbo frets over a Thin 'C' profile neck — measuring .787 inches at the first fret and .905 inches at the twelfth. The nut is a Graph Tech XL Ivory Tusq unit at 1.653 inches wide, and the truss rod is a two-way adjustable design accessible at the heel via a 5/32-inch Allen key. Both the bridge and neck positions house Schecter Diamond J-Bucker pickups, wired to a control layout of volume, tone, a 3-way pickup selector, and individual 3-way series-split-parallel switches for each pickup.
