Schecter built the Stiletto Studio-8 LH as an eight-string bass positioned within the upper tier of the Stiletto Studio series, configured specifically for left-handed players. It employed neck-through construction with Ultra Access and carried a Bubinga top over a Mahogany body, with a multi-ply Maple/Walnut neck running the full length of the instrument.
The bass featured a 34-inch scale across a 24-fret Rosewood fingerboard with a 16-inch radius and X-Jumbo frets, shaped to a Thin 'C' profile. A Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut sat at 1.574 inches wide, and a 2-way adjustable truss rod provided neck relief control via a 5/32-inch Allen nut. Abalone Offset Dot inlays marked the board. Electronics consisted of a pair of EMG 35HZ pickups running through an 18-volt active circuit governed by a 3-Band EMG Active EQ, with controls for Master Volume, Blend, and the equaliser. The Diamond Custom Bass bridge, Schecter tuners, and Metal Knurled knobs with set screws were finished throughout in Satin Gold. Ernie Ball 8 String Super Long strings were fitted at the factory. The Stiletto Studio-8 LH shipped without a case; a separate SGR-Universal Bass case was available as an accessory.
