Schecter positioned the Stiletto Stealth-5 LH as a left-handed, five-string entry in its Stiletto Stealth bass line, built for players who required a longer-scale instrument with active electronics and a deliberately dark aesthetic. The bass was constructed in Indonesia with a basswood body, a bolt-on maple neck fastened with six bolts, and a rosewood fretboard.
The 35-inch scale — paired with Ernie Ball 5 String Super Long strings (.045–.130) — provided the additional tension commonly sought on extended-range basses. The neck carried a Thin 'C' profile, measuring .787 inches at the first fret and .866 inches at the twelfth, over a 16-inch radius fretboard with 24 X-Jumbo frets and grey pearloid dot inlays. String spacing was set by a Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut at 1.771 inches. A two-way adjustable truss rod with a 5/32-inch Allen nut allowed neck relief adjustment from either end. The S-Tek bridge and all hardware were finished in black. Electronics comprised a Schecter Diamond SuperRock MM bridge pickup and a Schecter Diamond P neck pickup, routed through a master volume, blend control, and active two-band EQ powered by a 9-volt clip-in battery. Knobs were metal knurled with set screws, and tuners were Schecter-branded.
