Description

Schecter built the Stiletto Extreme-5 LH as a left-handed, five-string entry in the Stiletto Extreme series, positioning it as an active-electronics bass with extended-scale construction and figured-top aesthetics at a mid-range tier of the Schecter bass lineup.

The bolt-on maple neck carries a Thin 'C' profile and a 35" (889mm) scale, meeting a rosewood fretboard with 24 X-Jumbo frets, a 16" (406mm) radius, and Pearloid & Abalone Vector inlays. The mahogany body wears a quilted maple top in Black Cherry with a flat top contour and creme 1-ply binding. A Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut at 1.771" (45mm) width and a 2-way adjustable truss rod with a 5/32" (4mm) allen nut govern the neck end; a Diamond Bass bridge handles the string anchor. Both bridge and neck positions carry Schecter Diamond Bass pickups, routed through a master volume, blend, and active 2-band EQ with metal knurled knobs. All hardware is finished in black chrome. The instrument ships strung with Ernie Ball 5-String Super Long #2850 (.045–.130) strings and draws power from a 9-volt clip-in battery compartment. Schecter tuners complete the headstock.

Owners sourcing replacement parts — including the Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut, Diamond Bass bridge saddles, or 9-volt battery clip — should verify dimensions against the specs above before ordering, and consult a qualified guitar technician for truss rod adjustments, nut fitting, or any work requiring neck removal on the bolt-on joint.

From the people who own them

Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.

Put yours on the record.

The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.

What do you know about this one?

Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
