Description

Schecter built the Pete Dee PT (item 164) as a signature bolt-on electric guitar produced in South Korea, positioned within Schecter's artist signature range. The model was designed around a Pete Dee collaboration, with the Adicts Custom Design inlays serving as the primary visual identifier of its signature status.

The guitar's alder body features a flat top contour with white 1-ply binding and a chrome hardware complement. The maple neck joins the body via a bolt-on construction and carries a rosewood fretboard with a 14" (355mm) radius, 22 medium frets, and a Thin 'C' profile measuring .787" (20mm) at the first fret and .866" (22mm) at the twelfth. The 1.653" (42mm) Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut feeds a 25.5" (648mm) scale, with Schecter locking tuners at the headstock end. The Bigsby Flat Top B50 with roller tune-o-matic handles vibrato and intonation duties at the bridge. Pickups consist of a Schecter Diamond SuperRock Custom Alnico at the bridge and a Duncan Designed FG-101N at the neck, routed through a 2 Volume / 2 Tone (push-pull) / 3-way switch control layout with Grip Tip Speed Knobs. The instrument shipped strung with Ernie Ball Regular Slinky .010–.046 strings.

Owners seeking replacement parts — including Bigsby B50-compatible components, Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut blanks, or Duncan Designed FG-101N equivalents — should consult a qualified guitar technician or luthier for fit guidance specific to this instrument.

The owner archive

From the people who own them

Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.

Put yours on the record.

The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.

What do you know about this one?

Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
