Schecter positioned the Omen-8 LH as an extended-range, left-handed entry point in the Omen series, built around a bolt-on construction with a basswood body finished in Gloss Black with ivory 1-ply binding and an arched top contour. The left-handed configuration and 8-string format made it a relatively uncommon combination at this tier of the line.
The maple neck carries carbon fiber reinforcement rods and a thin 'C' profile, measuring .787" at the first fret and .866" at the twelfth, topped with a rosewood fretboard at a 16" radius. Twenty-four X-jumbo frets span a 26.5" (673mm) baritone scale, and the nut is a Graph Tech XL Black Tusq unit at 2.125" wide — a width that reflects the 8-string string spread. A 2-way adjustable truss rod is accessed with a 5/32" allen key. The Schecter Custom Hardtail bridge uses string-through-body stringing, finished in black chrome alongside the tuners, knurled metal knobs, and remaining hardware. Both pickup positions carry Schecter Diamond Plus humbuckers, routed through a Volume/Tone/3-way switch arrangement. The instrument was strung from the factory with Ernie Ball 8-String Slinky .010–.074 sets (#2625). Pearloid Semi-Goth inlays mark the fretboard positions.
