Schecter positioned the Omen-6 as an entry-level electric guitar within its Omen series, built in Indonesia with a bolt-on construction and finished in Vintage White. It was designed to offer a full-featured, high-fret-access platform at the accessible end of the Schecter range, sharing core ergonomic and hardware choices with the broader line.
The basswood body features an arched top with black single-ply binding. The bolt-on maple neck carries a rosewood fretboard with 24 X-Jumbo frets, a 14" (355mm) radius, and pearloid semi-goth inlays. Neck profile is a Thin 'C', measuring .787" (20mm) at the first fret and .866" (22mm) at the twelfth. The nut is a Graph Tech XL Black Tusq at 42mm width, and the two-way adjustable truss rod takes a 5/32" (4mm) Allen key. Scale length is 25.5" (648mm). Hardware throughout is black chrome: the bridge is a Tune-O-Matic with string-through-body anchoring, tuners are Schecter-branded, and knobs are metal knurled with set screws. Both pickup positions carry Schecter Diamond Plus humbuckers, controlled via a volume, a tone, and a three-way toggle switch. The instrument shipped strung with Ernie Ball Regular Slinky .010–.046.
Owners sourcing replacement parts should note that the Tune-O-Matic bridge accepts standard TOM-spec saddles and posts, and the 42mm nut width is compatible with widely available pre-slotted or blank Graph Tech Black Tusq XL replacements; a qualified guitar technician can confirm fit for any specific replacement hardware or fretwork.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
