Schecter built the Omen Extreme-4 LH as a left-handed four-string electric bass positioned in the Omen Extreme series. Constructed in Indonesia with a bolt-on neck joint secured by six bolts, it carried an arched flamed maple top over a mahogany body, cream multi-ply binding, and black chrome hardware throughout.
The maple neck was cut to a Thin 'C' profile, measuring .787" at the first fret and .866" at the twelfth, and joined a rosewood fretboard with a 16" radius, 24 X-Jumbo frets, and abalone and pearloid vector inlays. A Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut at 1.496" width and a two-way adjustable truss rod with a 5/32" allen nut governed the playing surface. The 34" scale bass was fitted with active Schecter Diamond Bass pickups at both neck and bridge positions, routed through a single volume control with metal knurled knobs, and powered by a 9-volt clip-in battery compartment. A Diamond Bass bridge, Schecter tuners, and black chrome hardware completed the specification. The instrument shipped strung with Ernie Ball 4 String Super Long #2849 (.045–.105).
