Schecter built the Hellraiser Extreme-4 LH as a left-handed entry in its Hellraiser Extreme bass line, positioning it at the upper tier of the range with active electronics, multi-ply neck construction and through-body build quality. Item number 1912, it was offered in Crimson Red Burst Satin finish with black chrome hardware throughout.
The instrument was constructed neck-thru with Ultra Access geometry, the neck itself formed from a maple and walnut multi-ply blank in a Thin 'C' profile — measuring .787" at the first fret and .866" at the twelfth. The 34" scale ebony fretboard carries 24 X-Jumbo frets at a 16" radius, with MOP Gothic Cross inlays and a Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut at 1.496" width. The mahogany body features a quilted maple arched top and MOP binding with black/white/black multi-ply purfling. Both pickup positions carry EMG 35TW units, wired to a pair of push-pull volume controls and an active EMG 3-band EQ drawing from an 18-volt battery system housed behind a screw-plate compartment. The Schecter Custom bass bridge accepts either string-thru or top-load stringing, and Grover tuners are fitted at the headstock. Factory strings were Ernie Ball 4-String Super Long #2849 (.045–.105).
