Schecter positioned the Reaper-6 as a high-output, extended-range-capable six-string within its Reaper series, built in Indonesia to a specification centred on aggressive playability and passive humbucker performance. The instrument shipped in a Satin Inferno Burst finish over a Swamp Ash body with a Burl top, using a Set-Neck with Ultra Access construction.
The neck is a multi-ply Maple and Walnut assembly reinforced with Carbon Fiber Reinforcement Rods, profiled to an Ultra Thin 'C' shape measuring .748" (19mm) at the first fret and .787" (20mm) at the twelfth. It carries 24 X-Jumbo frets on an Ebony fretboard with a 14" (355mm) radius and Pearloid Offset/Reverse Dot inlays. The nut is a Graph Tech XL Black Tusq at 1.653" (42mm) width, and the truss rod is a 2-Way Adjustable unit accessed via a 5/32" (4mm) Allen key. Scale length is 25.5" (648mm). Both pickup positions carry Schecter Diamond Decimator humbuckers wired to a Volume/Tone (Push-Pull) and 3-Way Switch arrangement, with Metal Knurled knobs retained by set screws. The Schecter Custom Hardtail bridge uses string-through-body anchoring. Hardware is finished in Black and Chrome. Schecter-branded tuners complete the headstock. The instrument was strung from the factory with Ernie Ball Regular Slinky .010–.046 strings.
Owners sourcing replacement parts — including Graph Tech Black Tusq XL nut blanks, Ernie Ball Regular Slinky string sets, or compatible string-through hardtail saddles — should verify dimensions against the figures listed here and consult a qualified guitar technician for installation and setup work.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
