Schecter positioned the C-1 FR S SLS Elite at the upper tier of its C-1 series, building the guitar around a neck-thru-body construction with Ultra Access and a Swamp Ash body capped with a Flamed Maple arched top. The Antique Fade Burst finish and ivory single-ply binding defined the aesthetic of this South Korea-built instrument.
The multi-ply Maple/Walnut/Padauk neck incorporates Carbon Fiber Reinforcement Rods and an Ultra Thin 'C' profile measuring .748" at the first fret and .787" at the twelfth, topped with a 24-fret Ebony fretboard running a 12"-16" compound radius and dressed with X-Jumbo Stainless Steel frets. Abalone offset/reverse dot inlays and abalone side dots mark the positions. The Floyd Rose 1500 Series bridge and matching nut handle tuning stability across the 25.5" scale, while Grover Rotomatic 18:1 tuners are fitted at the headstock. The pickup configuration pairs a Fishman Fluence Modern ceramic humbucker at the bridge with a Sustainiac unit at the neck; the control layout — Volume, Push-Pull Tone, 3-way pickup switch, 2-way Sustainiac on/off, and 3-way Sustainiac mode switch (Fundamental/Mix/Harmonic) — requires a dual 9-volt clip-in battery compartment. All hardware is finished in black, and knobs are metal knurled with set screws. The guitar shipped strung with Ernie Ball Regular Slinky .010–.046.
