Schecter positioned the Solo-II Apocalypse Red Reign at the upper tier of its Solo-II line, built around a set-neck construction with Ultra Access and a swamp ash body finished with a single-ply black binding and an arched top. The guitar was produced in South Korea and offered in the Red Reign colorway with satin black hardware throughout.
The multi-ply maple and padauk neck incorporates carbon fiber reinforcement rods and carries a 24.75" (628mm) scale length. The ebony fretboard runs a 12"-16" compound radius and carries 22 X-Jumbo stainless steel frets, with Roman numeral inlays and glow-in-the-dark side dot markers. Nut duties fall to a Graph Tech XL Black Tusq unit at 1.653" (42mm) width, and the neck profile is a Thin 'C' measuring .787" (20mm) at the first fret and .866" (22mm) at the twelfth. The two-way adjustable truss rod is accessed via a 5/32" (4mm) Allen nut. A TonePros T3BT tune-o-matic bridge and T1Z tailpiece handle string anchoring, and Schecter locking tuners hold pitch at the headstock. Both pickup positions carry Schecter USA Apocalypse-VI™ humbuckers, governed by a volume/volume/tone (push-pull) circuit and a three-way switch; the tone knob's push-pull function is noted in the control layout but its switched function is not specified in available documentation.
