Schecter positioned the Solo-II Apocalypse Red Reign at the upper tier of its Solo-II line, built around a set-neck construction with Ultra Access and a swamp ash body finished with a single-ply black binding and an arched top. The guitar was produced in South Korea and offered in the Red Reign colorway with satin black hardware throughout.
The multi-ply maple and padauk neck incorporates carbon fiber reinforcement rods and carries a 24.75" (628mm) scale length. The ebony fretboard runs a 12"-16" compound radius and carries 22 X-Jumbo stainless steel frets, with Roman numeral inlays and glow-in-the-dark side dot markers. Nut duties fall to a Graph Tech XL Black Tusq unit at 1.653" (42mm) width, and the neck profile is a Thin 'C' measuring .787" (20mm) at the first fret and .866" (22mm) at the twelfth. The two-way adjustable truss rod is accessed via a 5/32" (4mm) Allen nut. A TonePros T3BT tune-o-matic bridge and T1Z tailpiece handle string anchoring, and Schecter locking tuners hold pitch at the headstock. Both pickup positions carry Schecter USA Apocalypse-VI™ humbuckers, governed by a volume/volume/tone (push-pull) circuit and a three-way switch; the tone knob's push-pull function is noted in the control layout but its switched function is not specified in available documentation. Knobs are metal knurled with set screws. The instrument shipped strung with Ernie Ball Regular Slinky .010–.046 strings.
Owners sourcing replacement parts — including bridge saddles, the Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut, or TonePros-compatible hardware — should verify fit against the original specifications above; a qualified guitar technician can confirm compatibility and assist with setup or any adjustments to the compound-radius fretboard.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
