Schecter positioned the Sun Valley Super Shredder FR S LH (item 1287) as a left-handed, performance-oriented solidbody electric within its Sun Valley Super Shredder line. The instrument was built in South Korea using a mahogany body with a flat top contour and a bolt-on maple neck, configured specifically for left-handed players.
The neck carries a Thin 'C' profile measuring .787" (20mm) at the first fret and .866" (22mm) at the twelfth, topped with a maple fretboard bearing offset/reverse dot inlays. The 25.5" (648mm) scale accommodates 24 X-Jumbo frets over a 14" (355mm) radius board. Locking duties at the headstock fall to a Floyd Rose Special nut (1.625" / 41.3mm wide), paired with a Schecter-exclusive Floyd Rose Special 'Hot Rod' locking tremolo at the bridge — both finished in black hardware. Electronics are centred on an EMG Retro Active Hot 70 at the bridge and a Sustainiac® driver at the neck, powered by a double 9-volt clip-in battery compartment. The control layout provides Volume/Volume/3-Way pickup switching alongside a 2-way Sustainiac on-off switch and a 3-way Sustainiac mode switch covering Fundamental, Mix, and Harmonic modes. The 2-way adjustable truss rod is accessed via a heel-mounted spoke wheel. Schecter tuners and metal knurled set-screw knobs complete the hardware complement. The instrument shipped strung with Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinky .009–.046 (no. 2222).
