Schecter built the Sun Valley Super Shredder FR S (item 1285) as a high-output, feature-laden electric guitar positioned toward players requiring a locking tremolo system and active electronics. The FR S designation denotes the Floyd Rose Special bridge and Sustainiac neck pickup configuration, distinguishing it within the Sun Valley Super Shredder line. The guitar was manufactured in South Korea and constructed with a bolt-on maple neck joined to a mahogany body with a flat-top contour.
The maple fretboard carries 24 X-Jumbo frets over a 25.5" (648mm) scale at a 14" (355mm) radius, with a Thin 'C' neck profile measuring .787" (20mm) at the first fret and .866" (22mm) at the twelfth. Nut duties are handled by a Floyd Rose Special locking nut at 1.625" (41.3mm) width, mated to a Floyd Rose Special 'Hot Rod' Locking Tremolo — a Schecter-exclusive bridge variant — finished in black hardware throughout.
