Schecter positioned the Sun Valley Super Shredder FR (item 1280) as a high-output, tremolo-equipped instrument within its Sun Valley series, built for players prioritising speed and aggressive playing technique. The guitar was produced in South Korea and features a bolt-on construction with a mahogany body and a flat-top contour.
The neck is maple with a Thin 'C' profile, measuring .787" (20mm) at the first fret and .866" (22mm) at the twelfth, paired with a maple fretboard carrying offset/reverse dot inlays. The 25.5" (648mm) scale runs across 24 X-Jumbo frets on a 14" (355mm) radius board. A Floyd Rose Special 'Hot Rod' Locking Tremolo — listed as a Schecter exclusive — handles pitch, anchored by a Floyd Rose Special locking nut at 1.625" (41.3mm) width. Both pickup positions carry EMG Retro Active Hot 70 humbuckers, controlled by a volume/volume/3-way switch layout with metal knurled set-screw knobs, all finished in black hardware. The active pickup circuit is powered via a 9-volt clip-in battery compartment. Schecter-branded tuners and a 2-way adjustable truss rod with heel-access spoke wheel complete the specification.
