Description
Dunlop positioned the MXR M109S-U Six Band EQ as a dedicated equaliser pedal covering the essential guitar frequency range. The unit featured noise-reduction circuitry and true bypass switching, and was housed in a lightweight aluminium enclosure.
Six filter sliders provided ±18 dB of cut or boost at 100 Hz, 200 Hz, 400 Hz, 800 Hz, 1.6 kHz, and 3.2 kHz, with an additional ±18 dB shelf at 16 kHz. Input impedance was 470 kΩ and output impedance 5 kΩ, with a maximum input and output level of +14 dBV. The noise floor measured -101.7 dBV, and frequency response held within ±1 dB from 20 Hz to 20 kHz with all sliders at 0 dB. Current draw was 14.5 mA. Brighter LEDs were fitted for increased visibility on stage.
