Description
Dunlop positioned the MXR M108S-U Ten Band EQ as a signal-chain equaliser compatible with both guitar and bass rigs. The unit shipped with ten filter bands and a second output, distinguishing it from earlier single-output iterations of the Ten Band EQ platform.
The M108S-U incorporated noise-reduction circuitry and true hardwire bypass switching. Each of the ten bands offered ±12 dB of cut or boost, with a shelf filter at 16 kHz handling the top end. The pedal ran on 18 V DC at 48 mA and was housed in a lightweight aluminium enclosure. Input impedance measured 470 kΩ and output impedance 5 kΩ; maximum input and output levels both reached +14 dBV at 1 kHz with all sliders at 0 dB, and the noise floor sat at −101.4 dBV.
