Description

DigiTech produced the Nautila (NAUTILA-U) as a stereo chorus/flanger effects pedal. An Effect Type toggle switch selected between the two modulation modes, and the unit offered up to eight chorus voices or four flanger voices, set via the Voices control.

The Drift knob blended and morphed waveforms in real time, working alongside dedicated Speed, Depth, Emphasis, and Mix controls. A momentary-action vacuum-style footswitch allowed real-time speed modulation: holding the switch altered modulation speed, releasing it returned the effect to its set rate. Switching was handled by a soft-click mechanism. The pedal accepted separate left and right quarter-inch unbalanced inputs and carried those signals to separate left and right quarter-inch unbalanced outputs, supporting full stereo operation. When the effect was disengaged, the circuit provided true hardwire bypass on both input and output paths. The unit required an external 9 VDC power supply; none was included.
