DigiTech positioned the DOD Mini Expression Pedal (DOD-MINIEXP-U) as a compact, passive expression pedal designed to fit smaller pedalboards. It carried no active electronics, relying instead on a purely passive signal path.
The chassis was constructed from all-metal steel. Motion was transferred through a gear-drive mechanism, eliminating the string-and-pulley arrangements found on some competing designs. A three-position selector switched between TRS (25kΩ), TS (10kΩ), and RTS (25kΩ) output configurations, allowing the pedal to interface with the expression inputs of a wide range of effects and amplifiers. The single output is a 1/4" TRS/TS jack. Non-slip rubber pads were fitted to the underside. The unit measured 5.0" (L) × 3.0" (W) × 2.4" (H) and weighed 1.1 lbs. The industrial design was credited to DB Instrument Amp.
Owners confirming taper or impedance compatibility with a specific piece of gear, or needing internal service, should consult a qualified guitar technician or electronics repair specialist familiar with expression pedal circuitry.
STRAIGHT TALK
What Stands Out
Keep In Mind
From the people who own them
Nothing in The Vault is for sale. These records exist so the instruments stay documented after the manufacturer moves on — and the most useful part of that record is what owners add to it.
Owner photos
Put yours on the record.
The catalog shot showed one finish, under one light, a long time ago. Yours has been played. Photos from owners are what the next person finds when they are trying to identify a part, match a finish, or work out whether the one they just bought is really what the seller said it was.
What do you know about this one?
Specs only go so far. What actually fits, what breaks first, what the factory got right and what everyone ends up changing — that lives with the people who own them, not in a datasheet. Post what you know and it stays on this page for whoever comes looking next.
