The Element ran on DigiTech's AudioDNA2 DSP processor, operating at 24-bit A/D/A conversion and a 44.1 kHz sampling frequency, with the ability to run up to 8 effects simultaneously. Preset storage covered 100 factory presets and 100 user-writable locations. The I/O complement included a 1/4" unbalanced guitar input (500kΩ impedance), a 1/4" stereo TRS left/right output (500Ω per side, +7.0 dBu maximum), a 1/8" stereo TRS headphone output rated at 17.4 mW per channel into 50Ω, and an auxiliary input for playing along with an external source.
